Community Engagment

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that provides housing to low-income citizens in the community. The organization provides a no-interest loan and also commits to educating thei new hom owners.

This summer, the SL students worked during Habitat's annual Bulder's Blitz where the local community helps build up to 7 - 10 houses withina 7-9 day period. This year was one of the hottest that volunteers and staff experienced. Nonetheless, the homes were finished in time for their dedication on June 11th, 2016.

Despite the Ramadan holiday, our students sacrificed their sweat and time to help out the community.
