Welcome to the second session of Service Learning!

The students will be working at several non-profit organizations, as well as work during their Spring Break, and with students from the ELL class at Holling Heights Elementary.

Holling Heights is an elementary school located in the suburbs of Millard, Ne. ILUNO students along with Holling Heights students are making dvd's of songs and stories that are from their native countries. These dvd's will be used in the Dia de los Ninos program as well as for the Millard Public Library to use for their summer program.

ILUNO students took a day from the Spring Break to participate in UNO's annual 7 Days of Service.  This particular day was dedicated to International Service - the non-profit organizations part of this all serve the international population in some shape or form.

FoodBank for the Heartland service was a project the students enjoyed due to teamwork. Without it, they realized that the goal could not be completed as quickly as it did.

The students worked for almost two hours bagging a pound of rice per baggy. It was a collaboration of three different groups who worked together to an approximate sum of 860 bags.
