Siena Francis

House

May 2016, the Service Learning class participated in what the Siena Francis House calls a "workshop." It is designed to get their resdients speaking about themselves. SL students propelled that by sharing some of their thoughts that day by stating one word that signified how they felt, what someone might know about them and how they felt.

one world

one people

one community

Seeing people without a place to keep warm, or a place to be safe can be terrifying. The Siena Francis house offers shelter to those who do not have one - their program allows people to stay, to eat, to live.

They have resources that help those who want to help themselves, and it's warm and inviting. No questions asked...just compassion

The students help make paper chain decorations to welcome a new baby to the shelter.
