Community Engagment

On April 14, 2016, Service Learning (SL) students worked with students from Holling Heights Elementary. Holling Heights is an elementary school located in Millard, Nebraska. The group we worked with was an ELL group primarily made up of 1st through 3rd graders. The SL students communicated with two - three children at a time. We had a "get-to-know-you" session and afterwards the SL students presented briefly on their biography.

In the Fall of 2016, we hope to return to this elementary school to brainstorm ideas for a mural in their school hallway and in the Spring 2017, we hope to plan an International Cultural Fair - a first in their school.
