Fresh Vegetable in Basket
Students from ILUNO have elected to take this class so that they can not only learn about the social plight of our community, but to learn how to assist in creating a better life for in the community. Together while in the classroom, they learn about hunger insecurities and shortages, low-income housing and homelessness.
This page will illustrate the duties the students engaged in the volunteer coordinators who helped me in teaching my students about their organizations.
In the Classroom

Our first stop was to the Open Door Mission where Molly, the volunteer coordinator explained its mission and then took the students on a tour of the Lydia House. The students were able to listen and ask questions about their role in the community. Afterwards, the students helped sort, organize, and work in a team to make the outreach center looking great for its patrons!
